Buckler Visits Philadelphia University Baseball

From cheesesteaks to Rocky, Buckler loves all things Philly -- and the Rams of Philadelphia University are no exception. The latest stop on our college tour took us out east to beautiful Alumni Field, where we caught up with assistant coach Anthony Goncalves (we known him as "Coach Gonk"), checked out the Rams' campus and facilities, and of course talked Buckler gloves.

PhilaU has lots to be excited about entering 2017: The Rams finished 2016 on quite the high note, reaching the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference championship game for the first time in program history after breezing through their first three CACC tourney match-ups. The program also garnered its first All-American honor in 18 years, awarded to second baseman Fernando Garza in recognition of a senior campaign that was nothing short of dominant.

From the team at Buckler to the Rams' coaches, staff, players, and families: Good luck this spring!

P.S. Fun fact: PhilaU is also well known for men's basketball. The Rams' head coach Herb Magee is the famous "Shot Doctor" (and the winningest Division II coach of all time).

Philadelphia University is a private, co-educational university located in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia. The Rams' athletic teams are members of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) and the NCAA's Division II.
