Program Spotlight: Minnesota MASH

Back in October, we took you inside the Minnesota MASH's awesome new facility in Eagan, Minnesota. We figured that as 2016 winds down, it'd be a great time to check back in with the MASH and take a closer look at what makes this Minnesota club so special. We make sure to stop by and visit these guys regularly, and we absolutely love what they're up to.

Founded by Tom Buske in 2012 and co-owned by Buske and Steve McGuiggan, the MASH is doing some great things for player development in the Midwest, where the cold-weather climate is sometimes seen as a serious disadvantage. That doesn't stop the MASH, though: With a full-time staff and an 18,000-square-foot facility, they've put together a year-round development plan that's the real deal, with an eye toward making sure each player gets the right opportunities and experience at the next level -- whatever level that might be.

Oh, and the MASH program doesn't stop at baseball training. MASH Performance, headed up by Nate Stemper, makes sure all the MASH players develop their power, speed, and agility to complement all the hard work they're doing to improve their baseball skills.

On behalf of Team Buckler, good luck to all the MASH coaches, staff, players, families, and alumni in 2017!
